Mentoring students has always been a passion for me. I established College-Boost on the belief that every student has a story and with the right guidance and coaching, a stand-out application that earns positive results. With over twelve years of college counseling experience, I incorporate knowledge of the college admissions landscape with a natural rapport with teenagers to identify educational and career interests for every student I work with. Organized and experienced, I have been keeping students on-track through the demanding college process, reducing stress for both students and parents as they navigate the ever-changing landscape of admissions.
I earned my Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA and my Certified Educational Planner accreditation in 2018. My interest in the college process began during my senior year at Boston College where I worked for two years as an interviewer and essay reader. Since the beginning of my career as an independent counselor at Concierge Services for Students, and the years following, I have helped place over 300 students in colleges, universities, graduate schools and prep schools in the US, UK and Canada.
A BA in English and Human Development from Boston College and MA in Communications from Boston University have been instrumental in my work as a communicator and editor. I worked in marketing and communications at Boston-area advertising agencies before embarking on a 12-year career at Reebok International in Public Relations and Marketing. I then took some time off to raise my three children.
In my role as college counselor, I am dedicated to personalized, one-on-one coaching and passionate about empowering students to explore their interests. As a mother of three college graduates, I am a strong believer in the “right fit” school for everyone and apply extensive research and knowledge to craft a list for students in the hopes that they love every school on their list.
Outside of work, I can be found running, swimming, traveling and reading.
