I'll meet with you and your parent(s) to assess everyone's goals for our work together. We'll establish our communication plan for the process including your school's guidance counselor if appropriate.

I'll review your transcript, academic interests and extracurricular activities together with you to determine what makes you different and attractive to colleges.

I work with you to craft your unique story. With thousands of applicants to top colleges today, your story must be authentic, well-developed and memorable.

Putting together a list of colleges and universities that offer the best program options is my goal. I can help you consider schools that are a great fit based on geography, interests, size and character. I want my students to love every school on their list because they will eventually attend one.

How will you spend your time in college? Are you seeking a sport? Music or theatre? What are your academic interests and how will you pursue them? 

I will help you ensure that the schools on your list will satisfy your academic and extra-curricular interests at any level of participation.

Don't have time to plan a college tour? I work with families to set up admissions appointments, interviews (when available), overnight campus stays, and a chance to attend classes, if offered. I'll help you make the most of your visits with careful planning, knowledge of the school and area and efficient transitions.

I have extensive knowledge of area test prep companies, private tutors and group courses to meet all budgets and schedules. I will help you create a testing plan to reach your goals without compromising your grades.

Having a background in public relations has prepared me to coach you on making a great impression and highlighting your assets in both live or remote interviews.

My UCLA College Counseling courses has prepared me to counsel families through the financial aid process from completing the initial FAFSA application to securing institutional merit aid, government grants and loans and outside scholarships. This process can be arduous and confusing but with advanced planning and knowledge of available aid, families can have a better idea of what to expect based on their unique finances and how to best leverage financial aid opportunities.

A final set of eyes on applications and essays provides peace of mind for anxious students. 

There's a lot to do. I help keep you on track by establishing a timeline and coaching you to stay on target with each application deadline and important follow-up steps.

You've been accepted! Now what? When admissions results come out in late March/early April, sometimes the decision is clear. But other times, choosing the best school can be challenging. Weighing all the information and advising on the best-fit school is the most important step in the process.
